The Florida Press Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with the purpose of sustaining and nurturing the following programs:
Newspaper In Education
FPF will provide partial funding of a position to coordinate the statewide activities and provide support services. Visit www.floridapresseducationalservices.org for more information about NIE in Florida.
Career Training and Education
Conduct regional training workshops for newspaper staff members.
Promote Journalism in Education
Working with the Florida Scholastic Press Association and the Department of Education, FPF will promote high school journalism courses, as well as promote internships to Universities that have a College of Journalism.
Promote Camaraderie
In order to tap their expertise and engage them in Florida journalism, FPF will promote camaraderie and interaction among active and retired newspaper staffers and executives.
Promote Diversity
Promote diversity and career opportunities in the state's newspaper industry to help stimulate broader social perspectives.
Literacy
