Florida Newspaper Hall of Fame

Individuals selected for honor in the Florida Newspaper Hall of Fame have rendered outstanding service in the field of newspaper journalism in Florida and have been retired or deceased for three years prior to selection.
The Florida Newspaper Hall of Fame was established in 1988. Eight individuals were inducted in 1989 and 1990; two in 1991, 1992 and 1993; and one individual every year following 1993.
Photographs and biographical sketches of persons selected are on display at the Florida Press Association's offices in Tallahassee.
Florida Newspaper Hall of Fame inductees are selected by a committee of former Florida Press Association Board chairpersons, and selections are announced each year at an induction ceremony during the annual Florida Press Association and Florida Society of Newspaper Editors Convention.
To nominate an individual for the Florida Newspaper Hall of Fame, submit a brief (1-2 page) biography outlining the nominee's contributions to Florida newspaper journalism to the Florida Press Association, 2636 Mitcham Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32308 or email to deanr@flpress.com.
